Johansson to Head Wood Gutmann & Bogart’s Surety Division in California

Wood Gutmann & Bogart Insurance Brokers has hired Erik Johansson to head its new division, Performance Bonding Surety & Insurance Brokerage L.P.

Johansson will serve as president of the division.

He has written bonds on five continents, and has more than 14 years of surety experience. He started in surety on the carrier side in 2000, when he began underwriting for HCC Surety Group. He made the transition to the surety broker side in 2008, when he joined Willis Insurance Services as the Southern California surety practice leader.
