Aegis Specialty Insurance Services has opened a new Silicon Valley office located in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The venture is part of Aegis General Insurance Agency, and will be leveraging technology to deliver home, condo and renters insurance through a new platform that will enable independent insurance agents and brokers who sell the insurance products to consumers to quote and bind coverage. Aegis Specialty says the platform will integrate third-party data on a real-time basis.
All policies will be backed by Aegis Security Insurance Co. The office was launched with the oversight of Pat Kilkenny, chairman of Aegis Security, and Robert Kimmel, CEO of Aegis Security. The office is being ran by Tim Summers, president of Aegis Specialty, and Robert Large, senior vice president of products and marketing.
Aegis Specialty Insurance Services provides homeowner, condominium, townhouse, renters, mobile home and motorcycle insurance. Aegis Security Insurance Co. is rated “A” (“Excellent”) by A.M. Best and sells insurance on an admitted basis in all states.
