Data and analytics provider CoreLogic has named Lindene Patton global head of hazard product development for its insurance and spatial solutions business.
Patton will lead development and research analytics for natural hazard and climate risk products and solutions for the Irvine, Calif.-based firm.
Patton has 27 years of experience, including a range of experience in insurance and risk management, global climate research and analysis, environmental science and legal affairs. In 2013, she co-authored Climate Change and Insurance, published by the American Bar Association.
Prior to CoreLogic Patton was chief climate change product officer for Zurich Insurance Group, for which she also previously served in roles as divisional head of risk management and legal counsel.
She serves on numerous government and non-governmental advisory boards, including the National Academy of Science Committee on Risk-Based Methods for Insurance Premiums of Negatively-Elevated Structures in the National Flood Insurance Program. Patton has been a member of the Executive Secretariat of the third U.S. National Climate Assessment Development and Advisory Committee.
