Oregon City Fining Uber $2K A Day For Running Without License

January 16, 2015

Eugene, Ore. fines against Uber now total $120,000 and are going up $2,000 a day that the ride-hailing business operates without a license.

A lawyer for Uber says the license requirement does not apply because Uber does not own or operate the vehicles.

The Register-Guard reported a hearing on the fine is scheduled for Feb. 2.
