It should be fairly simple for the City of Eugene to obtain Uber’s trip logs for the period of time to which the fine applies and pro-rate the daily fine against the drivers that were operating. Just part of their cost of doing business like any other for-hire vehicles that operate in the municipality.

we all have our pet peeves, and mine is fairly trivial.
It appears Eugene needs to change their law to include Uber. Although, I guess a judge will probably have to rule if the company is splitting hairs and operating illegally.
Where’s the comment from “Oregon City” v. Oregon City guy?????
OK, just fine the drivers then, or at least take their bongs away.

Not at all, bob. Agreed that we all have our pet peeves, but how hard is it to show the actual name of the city in the headline?
