Many businesses would like to avoid regulation and gain a competitive advantage, but can’t. For some reason, price, regulators are slow to call Uber what it is – a taxi company. And no, I don’t insure taxis, or have anyone I know impacted by this.
Uber is an offensive and dysfunctional business and they shouldn’t be allowed to do business anywhere, because they only want to follow their own rules and way of doing business. Who do they think they are?
Frankly, I wish they’d just stop calling me in the middle of the night saying your ride is on the way. I’ve never called them, don’t have an Uber app on my phone… but it is annoying when they call then want to argue that I must have called them and how dare I send them on a wild goose chase.
