This is great! Go forward but without any limitations. If you don’t buy insurance you shouldn’t get anything our of any insurance company. In fact you shouldn’t be able to make a claim of any sort, and should be prohibited in law from doing so even in the legal systems.
This sounds like a good bill. I pay a very high rate for uninsured/underinsured drivers to protect myself. It would be interesting to see how many uninsured drivers are involved in at fault accidents. They need to be forced to get insurance and NV DMV can control that until they cancel and then we are back to square one. Being poor is a bad excuse.
At one time in the past, not too long ago I own and also partners in auto insurance agencies in 3 states, CA, WA. & ID. When I moved to Las Vegas I could not believe how HIGH the auto insurance was. Compareing the same demographics it was a joke on what the companies where charging. 1st it was the market, the companies could get away with it. 2nd they realized the rates where high and where working on lowering them. That was a joke. In talking with the AARP carrier why was the rate so much cheaper for the same demographics in CA. then LV. The answer was the market and Dept of Ins. does nothing to help the consumer. The excess of the higher rates would be put back into circulation to help the local economy.
