    Wow….. that is a harsh statement in the article “highlights the risk of the state’s laissez-faire approach”. I have been to Arizona and it has a great place to test these vehicles. More straight line roads. Good weather for testing year round. I would think it is better to test this in a state like Arizona to get the major issues worked out and wait to test issues in states that get weather (lots of rain, lots of snow, lots of crappy weather)

    Perhaps autonomous vehicles should only be allowed in states like Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, North and South Dakota with no population to speak of and they will have less problems. Don’t see how they can adapt to high traffic cities. Choices to make and they will be wrong with the choices made.
