When you go the dentist, you might have the nicest, most gentle and professional dentist around. Maybe they scrape a little plaque off your teeth with a metal spike and tell you to floss more than once a year. At the end of the day with the absolute best case scenario, you still have a stranger rooting around the inside of your mouth. Now I have to worry about them catching me ON FIRE???
This is one of the saddest cases I’ve heard of. I can’t imagine if this happened to my little girl just on the damage done to her alone, four days in the hospital? But then add in that this girl was likely traumatized, can you picture her ever being comfortable with a dentist in her life? Super sad.
That’s gotta be bad for business. It might be in the dentist’s best interest to relocate his practice out of the Las Vegas area. Perhaps consider moving to Sparks, Nevada?
$15000? Hell no, not near enough. Possibly scarred for life, traumatized. Hope this dentist also was reported to the state board that licenses dentists.
I was thinking the same thing. You see people demanding millions for more minor incidents. When I was 12 a dentist drilled into my tooth without deadening it; I was definitely traumatized for life.
Normally I do not like Attorney involvement, however, based on the limited information in this article, someone needs to look to protect this little girl’s rights. If this is permanent disabling damage, $15,000 is a joke. It almost seems like the parents are idiots or they hired an idiot to represnet her.

Ooh! Chris, can’t imagine a dentist being so careless. I’ve never experienced real pain in a dentist chair and now feel fortunate about that.
Chris,
Did the dentist repeatedly ask you, “Is it safe?”
It said MORE than $15,000. , I suspect that would include millions.
