EIS, a system and digital insurance platform provider, has acquired San Francisco, California-based Metromile’s Enterprise Business Solutions, a SaaS-based claims automation and fraud detection system from Lemonade.
The company expects the acquisition of the EBS assets to expedite EIS’ entry into new markets.
The EBS platform offers a “touchless claims experience” the company says can improve customer satisfaction, limit losses paid to false claims, and streamline back-office operations.
EBS supplies major components to the insurance industry.
Lemonade is an insurtech that offers renters, homeowners, car, pet, and life insurance. Metromile closed of the acquisition of the pay-per-mile car insurance provider in an all-stock transaction in July.
