Sean Cooper has been named executive vice president and chief actuary at the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California, headquartered in Oakland, Calif.
Cooper succeeds Dave Bellusci, who retired from the WCIRB after 33 years.
Cooper has more than 30 years of experience and joined WCIRB in November 2022 as executive vice president and deputy chief actuary. Before that, Cooper was practice leader and senior actuary for the National Council on Compensation Insurance and in various roles at USAA Insurance Co., Insurance Services Office and AmCOMP Inc.
