Burns & Wilcox promoted Tom Carvalho to regional vice president.
The promotion is effective Oct. 1. Carvalho will oversee Burns & Wilcox operations in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and San Francisco, Sacramento and Fresno, California. He will report to Rich Gobler, executive vice president, Western United States.
Carvalho joined Burns & Wilcox in 2011 as a producer and has held increasingly senior leadership roles throughout his career of more than 15 years, including serving as managing director of San Francisco since 2024. Carvalho will focus on accelerating growth and strengthening the presence of Burns & Wilcox across the region. Carvalho will work with local leadership to deepen relationships with retail brokers, strengthen business unit capabilities and identify new opportunities across Portland and Seattle. In California, he will provide leadership to the San Francisco, Sacramento and Fresno offices.
Burns & Wilcox is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
