Chicago-based The Park Group, a wholesale insurance brokerage has announced the promotion of Peter Upjohn to the position of manager of the newly established Professional Liability Brokerage Department.
Upjohn is responsible for the majority of the professional liability lines of coverage handled by AVRECO, including directors & officers, errors & omissions, employment practices, and fiduciary. In addition. Upjohn handles general and umbrella liability coverage as well. He has been with AVRECO since 1998.
Upjohn began his career in the American Non-Marine Casualty department at Willis Faber & Dumas, Ltd. in London, England. He was responsible for placing excess liability coverage with underwriters at Lloyds of London and British companies. After leaving Willis Faber & Dumas, Upjohn joined Johnson & Higgins as an assistant team manager, eventually being promoted to vice president. His responsibilities included marketing and maintaining coverage for several Fortune 500 companies, production of additional business from existing clients, training of younger brokers and interns and overall management of several accounts, all lines.
Upjohn is a member of PLUS. (Professional Liability Underwriters Society) and NAPSLO. (National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd).
