Foremost Insurance Group has expanded its Dwelling Fire program in Kansas effective Oct. 15, 2009. The company said it will write a broad spectrum of landlord and rental coverages, with lower rates and new, larger discounts.
Foremost said it has typically provided coverage for hard-to-place landlord and owner-occupied properties, and it is enhancing its program to include standard and preferred business.
Some of the discounts offered include:
- Financial responsibility may qualify customers for a 10 percent discount.
- Owners with another Foremost, Farmers, Bristol West or Zurich policy may qualify for a discount.
- Owners without prior claims may receive a discount.
- New discounts for professional landlords using a Property Management Company, who belong to a Landlord Association, conduct tenant screening or have multiple properties insured with Foremost are now available.
In addition, the company now accepts:
- Vacation rental properties
- Homes with open foundations
