Associates First Capital Corp. has reorganized its property and casualty insurance companies. As part of the move, Northland Insurance Company and American Equity Insurance Company – both acquired by The Associates early last year – will have a single, joint focus on the needs of general agents.
Gene Keating, a 33-year insurance industry veteran, will serve as president of both companies. He will lead the effort to build on the NIC and AEIC brands marketed through a network of more than 150 general agents throughout the United States. Also, The Associates’ independent agency company – Mendota Insurance, formerly linked to AEIC and NIC under one organizational umbrella – will move into its own management structure.
