Encompass has implemented the use of a tool from EagleView Technologies to capture aerial images of customer homes which the company said will be used to “provide a more accurate and faster assessment when issuing or renewing a homeowners policy.”
In lieu of using a property inspector to conduct an inspection, Encompass will use the aerial technology as part of its process in providing homeowners insurance. The information collected by EagleView delivers an electronic report which provides detailed diagrams and measurements of a home’s square footage, roof type and more to ensure adequate coverage for Encompass consumers.
EagleView Technology Corporation, through its two wholly owned subsidiaries, EagleView Technologies, Inc. and Pictometry International Corp., is a provider of aerial imagery, data analytics and GIS solutions serving the commercial, government and public utility sectors. The company’s image capture processes and 3D modeling algorithms coupled with property-centric analytic tools in support of property claims, risk management, construction, emergency response, assessment, corridor mapping and more.
Encompass is part of the Allstate group of companies distributing products through independent agents.
