Crawford Adjusters Take on Charley Remnants

Crawford & Company adjusters have begun wading into the damage following Hurricane Charley, which ripped across Florida on Friday causing billions of dollars in damage.

Crawford, which has offices located throughout Florida, began taking in losses on Sunday. Crawford sent adjusters from its Catastrophe Services unit, Global Technical Services unit, and from all of its local Florida branches to the affected areas.

“Our first concern, of course, was for our people in the area,” Clayton Hartley, Crawford senior vice president of Claims Management Services, said. “Once we could assure ourselves that they were all okay, we turned to the task of our work. Although many of our employees that work in the Florida branches sustained their own property losses, they are already on station, taking in losses.”

Adjusters are on-site in affected areas from the southwest to the northeast coasts of Florida.

Crawford’s primary operations will be centered in the towns of Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Sarasota, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Orlando, and Daytona Beach.
