The head of Kentucky’s Medicaid program is stepping down at the end of the month after a little more than a year on the job.
Kentucky Medicaid Commissioner Glenn Jennings, 56, will be replaced by Shawn Crouch after he leaves the program on Aug. 31. Jennings took the post in June 2006 after serving as executive director of the Kentucky Office of Insurance.
Jennings helped oversee the program’s transition into a modern, computerized system that simplified the claims process. He also worked with advocacy groups to develop new measures of providing Medicaid services to elderly and disabled people in their homes.
