
Insurance broker Lockton hired Manoj Sharma as chief operating officer of its Southeast operations. He is based in Lockton’s Atlanta office.
Sharma succeeds Jason Richardson who recently moved to Colorado for a business venture of his own, Lockton said.
At Lockton, Sharma will be responsible for client services and operations, property/casualty insurance, employee benefits consulting, and retirement services for the broker’s operations in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Florida.
Prior to joining Lockton, Sharma was the executive managing director of Xerox Legal Services, a provider of e-discovery and litigation and legal support services to corporations and law firms. He also previously served as global chief operating officer and managing director of Buck Consultants and chief operating officer of Willis’ North American Employee Benefits business.
More than 5,600 professionals at Lockton provide 48,000 clients around the world with risk management, insurance, employee benefits consulting, and retirement services.
