Latin American Agents Association Installs New Officers

The Latin American Agents Association installed its 2007 Board of Directors and officers at its Holiday Gala in December.

For 2007, new officers will be:
President Gustavo Contreras from Golden Financial Insurance Agency (Montebello, CA); Vice President – Operations Miguel Rodriguez from Wizard Insurance Agency (Chatsworth, CA); Vice President – ExecutiveSandra Carnet from L&S Insurance Agency (South Gate, CA); Secretary George Silveira from Verdugo Insurance Agency (Arleta, CA); and Treasurer: Ana Makela from ALM Insurance Agency (Norwalk, CA).

Also named to the 2007 Board of Directors were:
Efrain Ferrer from Strong Tie Insurance Agency (Bell, CA); Oscar Vega from Vega Insurance Agency (Los Angeles); Robert Simmons from Westex Insurance Agency (Los Angeles); Richard Wetzel from Oasis San Jose Insurance Agency (San Jose, CA); Tim Makela from ALM Insurance Agency (Norwalk, CA); Gladys Garcia from GGI Insurance Agency (North Hollywood, CA); Stewart Isbell for Isbell Insurance Agency (Downey, CA); Max Ahmad from South Central Insurance Agency (Los Angeles, CA); and LAAA Past President Rafael Hurtado.

At the event, LAAA CEO Andre Urena also bid farewell to retiring board members and outgoing President Rafael Hurtado, who has served in various leadership roles since the association’s founding in 1998.
