The reality of the Workers Comp scheme in Alberta is that the WCB 100% functions as a Legal INSULATION medical scam acutely focused on subjecting NON-Governent workers (Non-Cops, Non Firemen, Non-border guards, Non Government workers with Super Generous Medical Benefits paid for by Taxpayers) to their phony rehabilitation facility Mallard Health. Mallard started threatening to cut me off benefits the day I walked in their door because I fell at work and broke my back.
Government workers like Cops, Firemen and border guards will NEVER have to walk into the doors of this facility, because they are referred to actual legitimate rehabilitation facilities where they actually “Treat” injured workers. For me Mallard stands for Mallicious artificial rehabilitation for disabled workers. Total baloney rehab focused on creating bogus EVIDENCE against legitimate disabled claimants is their Credo and their Mission GOALS.
A recent co-worker of mine fell off of a ladder while he was working on his roof and broke his leg. He has had to have several surgeries and it has put him out of work greatly the past 7 months. I enjoyed reading this to understand all of the benefits that are possible to him through workers compensation laws. It is nice to know people like him can be taken care of when an accident that they did not plan on happens to them.
