Midas Suit

— Laurel Sayer, CEO of Midas Gold Idaho, a Midas Gold subsidiary, commented on a lawsuit filed by the Nez Perce Tribe to force the Canadian company to clean up an idle central Idaho mining area – which the company says it plans to do if it gets approval from U.S. officials to restart mining at the site.

— North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey comments on the swearing in of four law enforcement personnel to the Criminal Investigations Reserve Unit, which was formed by Causey to combat insurance fraud cases in the state.

Kennel Safety

— Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker upon signing a bill requiring kennels in Illinois to be staffed and have sprinklers/alarms that ring at the firehouse. The bill responds to the death of 29 dogs in a blaze at the Bully Life Animal Services kennel in DuPage County.
