An insurance group has canceled another conference scheduled at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia because of an ongoing contract dispute between the resort and its employees.
The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers has moved its June 2009 Employees Benefits Leadership Forum to The Broadmoor in Colorado. It’s the fourth conference that the council has moved from The Greenbrier since February.
Council President Ken Crerar told The Register-Herald that he’s not willing to hold a major meeting at The Greenbrier unless a contract is in place.
Resort spokeswoman Lynn Swann says the council’s decision is disappointing but The Greenbrier understands the group’s position.
