Royal & SunAlliance USA and Internet-based insurance services company eCoverage have formed a business relationship to develop Internet capability to provide streamlined information access and processing support to RSA personal lines agents. The agreement also calls for RSA to provide eCoverage with access to an insurance company shell, with licenses in 48 states and the District of Columbia, accelerating eCoverage’s national rollout and strengthening its competitive position against personal insurance direct writers. eCoverage was the first company to create, sell and service personal lines insurance products exclusively over the Internet.
