According to reports appearing in the Times of London, and France’s financial newspaper Les Echos, the world’s largest broker, Marsh & McLennan, plans to expand its operations in the U.K. and on the continent. The Times cited Dan Jones, head of Marsh Europe, as indicating that the company planned to expand its brokerage and consulting activities to small and medium sized businesses in both areas. The expansion would create 1,200 jobs in the U.K. and 1,800 on the continent over the next five years.
