The North Texas Insurance Auction (NTIA) is now offering a first-of-its-kind “Texas Salvages Title” class, recently accredited by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Continuing Education Division. NTIA General Manager Ron Overbeek will conduct the class free of charge in the Auction’s new training room, and will present each attendant with a Certificate of Completion for one and a half hours’ credit. NTIA has been hosting free Texas title law awareness classes since October. The course teaches processing requirements for at least six titles in the salvage industry, and also explains specific requirements for the state of Texas in order to issue different types of titles on total loss claims. Attendees of the Texas Salvage Titles class will learn the types of titles issued by the state, to whom titles can be issued, and total loss claims that have special requirements.
