A.M. Best Co. will present the E-Fusion Award, designed to highlight outstanding, resourceful uses of Internet technology by an insurance organization, during its Annual Insurance & Technology Conference, E-Fusion. Entrants can be insurance companies, reinsurers, third-party technology providers working with an insurer or brokerage or related financial services providers engaged in insurance. The candidate project, product or service must have been introduced or redeveloped within the past 18 months and must be directly related to the business of insurance.
Entries can include projects designed to sell, support, educate, underwrite, manage operations, handle claims or support any aspect of conducting an insurance or reinsurance enterprise. Judges are asked to make their determinations based not only on the creativity and resourcefulness employed, but ultimately on whether a project succeeds in meeting its business mission and furthering the business of insurance. The winner of the E-Fusion Award will be announced at a reception at the National Press Club on the evening of Sept. 30 as part of A.M. Best’s E-Fusion 2002 conference. E-Fusion runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in down-town Washington, D.C. Details, registration materials and entry forms are available at www.efusion2002.com.
