Wholesale insurance broker Swett & Crawford appointed Nancy Gibbons as vice president of human resources. She is based in Atlanta.

Gibbons has held various key roles in her career including vice president of human resources for the securities brokerage operations for UBS and Wachovia. Most recently, she served as director of human resources operations for Novelis.

Insurance brokerage Beecher Carlson announced three promotions.

Scott Davis has been promoted to president of Property and Casualty. Davis joined Beecher Carlson in 2004 with the responsibility of growing operations in Nashville and the large account Casualty practice. The practice has grown to be the largest division in the company. As part of his new role, Davis will focus on the expansion of Beecher Carlson’s West Coast operations.

With 25 years of experience, Frank McKenna is being promoted to president of Healthcare. He previously served as executive managing director of the Healthcare practice, serving large hospital chains, physician groups, surgical centers, managed care organizations and university focused medical centers.

Robert Bothwell, who has served as executive managing director of the Energy practice since 2005, is promoted to president of Energy. Bothwell brings his experience working with independent power developers, utilities as well as gas and oil companies to develop comprehensive insurance and risk management programs.

Beecher Carlson is a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc. and headquartered in Atlanta. Brown & Brown is headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Brooke Kelley-Hunt is the new director of Public Affairs for the Southeast for the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI).

Kelley-Hunt will be responsible for representing PCI in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

Kelley-Hunt brings 10 years in the television field to PCI. She most recently was the director of communications and special events for Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia. She will work from PCI’s Chicago office.

Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. reported that Scot Moore has been named as the firm’s new executive vice president.

Moore’s accounting career began in 1986 with KPMG Peat Marwick and he has worked in the insurance industry for the last 19 years. Most recently, he was chief financial officer for St. Johns Insurance Co.

Lighthouse, headquartered in Orlando, Fla., is an admitted property/casualty insurance company authorized to write in Louisiana and South Carolina. Lighthouse specializes in homeowners, condo, renters and dwelling fire insurance policies.

Selective Insurance Group Inc. has selected John Marchioni as president and chief operating officer. Gregory E. Murphy, who remains chairman and chief executive officer, previously held the president title.

Marchioni had served as executive vice president, Insurance Operations, with oversight for Selective’s property/casualty insurance operations since December 2008.

He joined Selective in 1998 and has held a variety of positions, including vice president, director of government affairs, vice president and strategic business unit leader, senior vice president, director of Personal Lines, and executive vice president, chief field operations officer.

Previously, he was vice president of government relations for the Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey.
