Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. has named Stephen Glazier vice president and casualty loss control specialist.

Glazier is based at Woodruff-Sawyer’s Denver, Colo., office. He will serve as a casualty loss control consultant across the enterprise, working with clients on loss control needs.

He worked for 12 years at Marsh prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer.

Woodruff-Sawyer is an independent insurance brokerage and a partner of Assurex Global and International Benefits Network.

The law firm of Kutak Rock LLP has added J. Michael Low, former director of the Arizona Department of Insurance, to the firm’s insurance, regulatory and government affairs group.

Low, who will represent insurers, insurance associations and institutions before government agencies, will be located in the firm’s Scottsdale office.

He was director of Arizona’s insurance department from 1980 to 1984. Low was most recently a partner with Lewis Brisbois. He was previously a partner with Low & Cohen PLLC. He was a partner in Low & Childers P.C. before that.

Kutak Rock’s nearly 500 attorneys represent clients across the U.S. in business and governmental matters.

The Buckner Co. has named Keith Braxton, the former president of Buckner of Colorado, vice president of acquisitions and development.

Braxton will be responsible for helping the organization grow externally through identifying and developing growth opportunities through strategic acquisitions, book purchases and talent development. His focus will be in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico and Montana.

The Buckner Co. is a regional insurance brokerage with offices in Utah, Idaho and Colorado.

Everest Re Group Ltd. has named Molly Hunter as a vice president on the marketing and distribution team in the Western U.S. region.

Hunter most recently was a senior vice president and global relationship leader at Zurich North America in Seattle, Wash. Prior to joining Zurich, she worked as a senior business development manager at AIG. She was a broker at Marsh before that.

Everest Re is a Bermuda holding company that operates through its subsidiaries.

R-T Specialty LLC has opened an office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The office is led by Jason A. Witthun and Marie-Louise D. Lundqvist.

The Honolulu office handles all excess and surplus lines of business including property catastrophe, commercial/residential property, general liability and professional liability.

Witthun started his career in London broking multiple lines, then moved to the U.S. and focused on South American business. He was most recently with First Insurance Company of Hawaii as a commercial lines underwriter and E&S broker.

Lundqvist began her career as a commercial underwriter working on all lines of business. She also has served as a binding authority underwriter, which she will continue to do at R-T Specialty.
