AssuredPartners, Inc. has promoted Joe Guercio to executive vice president of Operations, with a focus on EBITDA growth through managing its branch offices, the integration of new acquisitions, operational efficiencies specifically through agency management systems, quality control and continuous support to COO Tom Riley and the Regional Executive team.

Guercio started his career with AssuredPartners in 2016 as vice president of Operations. During his tenure with AssuredPartners, he has worked with the executive leadership team to shape profitability goals and vision driving EBITDA growth throughout the company.

Guercio and his team have integrated 60 acquisitions and Guercio has been instrumental in the development of AssuredPartners corporate premium financing program while improving operational efficiencies in licensing and the communication enhancements through the build-out of an internal intranet.

Headquartered in Lake Mary, Fla., AssuredPartners, Inc. acquires and invests in insurance brokerage businesses (property and casualty, employee benefits, surety and MGUs) across the United States and in London.

INSUREtrust has hired Brady Kinkade as a Professional Lines account manager on the production team of Executive Vice President Christiaan Durdaller.

Kinkade’s experience in the insurance industry comes from his tenure at Sompo International, where he held both administrative and underwriting positions.

Kinkade has three years of insurance company experience working in cyber, tech, and MPL, according to Durdaller, who said Kinkade will assist with the growth of INSUREtrust’s renewal book and continued expansion of MPL within that book, as well as facilitate policy form breakdowns and run real disaster scenarios for clients.

Kinkade formerly worked for Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., which later became part of Sompo International.

The company also added Sam Hoppenbrouwer as a Professional Lines broker on Durdaller’s team.

Hoppenbrouwer brings with him four years of wholesale experience in professional, cyber, and tech E&O. Before joining INSUREtrust, he worked at insurance company Genesee General as a cyber liability broker.

INSUREtrust, located in the Atlanta metro area, is a national insurance wholesaler covering commercial risks generated with using the internet – such as privacy and security breaches.

Anderson Benson, an independent Nashville-based insurance and risk management firm has hired Sarah Anderson and Cynthia Russell as new account managers.

Anderson joins Anderson Benson from Willis Towers Watson where she most recently served as a client service specialist. While there, she was responsible for maintaining and responding to clients for businesses across the country.

Russell joins Anderson Benson from Marsh McLennan Agency where she worked as a commercial lines accounts manager. She has experience with a variety of insurance and risk management needs for businesses. She has relocated to Nashville from West Palm Beach, Fla.

Anderson Benson is a locally owned and independent insurance broker providing insurance, risk management and loss control services to a variety of commercial industries.

Brightway Insurance has opened four new stores in the Southeast.

The new stores in the region opened in Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee, include:

Stephen Aldridge and Robert Osteen opened Brightway, The Osteen & Aldridge Agency in Fort Mill, S.C.

Jason and Erica Grubbs opened Brightway, The Torres-Grubbs Agency in New Port Richey, Fla.

Timothy Walters has opened Brightway, The Walters Agency in Morristown, Tenn.

Kim Shumaker will be the principal agent of Brightway, The Sunnyside Agency in Elgin, S.C.

Brightway is a national property/casualty insurance retailer selling through a network of franchised independent stores throughout the country.

XL Catlin has promoted Lindsey Nieves to AVP, underwriting manager, in its regional U.S. War, Terrorism & Political Violence insurance team for the South and Central zone headquartered in Atlanta.

Nieves joined XL Catlin in 2014 from AIG where she served as a risk management specialist. Her career also includes positions with Progressive and as a paralegal with a Charleston-based law firm.

XL Catlin insurance companies offer property, casualty, professional, financial lines and specialty insurance products globally.
