The financial strength rating on Employers Mutual Casualty Company, a member of EMC Insurance Cos., and its related pool members was lowered from ‘Api’ to ‘BBBpi’ by S&P. The other affected companies are: Emcasco Insurance Co., Illinois Insurance Co., Dakota Fire Insurance Co., The Hamilton Mutual Insurance Co. of Cincinnati, EMC Property & Casualty Insurance Co., and Union Insurance Co. of Providence. The lone exception was Farm and City Insurance Co., whose rating was affirmed at ‘BBBpi.
