New York Superintendent of Insurance Neil D. Levin has appointed Susan Skaling Donnellan as deputy general counsel of the insurance department. Donnellan assumes her duties at the insurance department immediately.
Donnellan joins the department from the Life Insurance Council of New York (LICONY) where she served as associate general counsel. In that capacity, she was extensively involved in cutting edge issues impacting the industry. Donnellan was employed at Swiss Re America Corporation for eight years in various positions in the corporate law department, most recently serving as counsel and secretary of Swiss Re Life Company America.
