Progressive Corp. will make its homeowners insurance product available to be sold exclusively by independent agents in Maryland effective today. Initially, the product is being offered exclusively through independent agents representing Progressive in Maryland.
The agents will be appointed on a rolling basis, beginning with the first 13 agents on Jan. 19 and totaling 105 agents within the first several weeks of the launch. These agents are specially trained to sell homeowners insurance and work with consumers to determine coverage that protects their homes at competitive rates.
