NJ-based independent loss adjusting and investigative services provider GAB Robins announced that it was responding to the increasing number of claims involving mold by offering a package of services through its Engineering and Fire Investigations unit (EFI) to “identify, analyze and assess mold-related losses for residential and commercial properties.”
“Mold is becoming a growing problem for the insurance industry,” stated Robert K. Meyers, GAB Robins Executive VP for Business Development. “As a company our focus is on anticipating the needs of the industry and responding quickly with the appropriate products and services.”
GAB Robins’ proposed services include dispatching a trained adjuster to the site to make an initial assessment of the loss, a determination whether or not mold is involved, and if there’s insurance coverage. If so, “he or she will marshall CFI engineers, toxicologists and microbiologist to inspect, analyze and quantify the sources of mold growth, measure potential health risks and recommend a remediation plan,” said the announcement.
More information on the service can be obtained from GAB Robins at: 866 653 MOLD (6653), or from local company representatives.
