Connecticut-based Target Capital appointed Joseph G. Shores to the position of program manager for the company’s national lawyers professional liability (LPL) insurance program. In his new position, Shores will manage all aspects of the LPL program, including underwriting, producer management and distribution, and marketing. Shores will operate from Target Capital’s Lisle, Ill. underwriting facility.
Shores has worked on both the brokerage and carrier sides of the commercial P&C and professional liability insurance industry, with extensive experience in LPL underwriting and professional liability claims management.
Most recently, Shores held the position of director of Midwest operations with Bertholon-Rowland Insurance Brokers, managing physician’s and lawyer’s professional liability programs. Prior to this position, Shores was vice president of claims with the Illinois State Bar Association Mutual Insurance Company. Shores previously held a senior position with Interstate Insurance Company, as vice president of professional liability claims.
He began his professional liability career at CNA Insurance Company.
