Boston-based Homesite Insurance has expanded its operations to neighboring Connecticut, offering its line of home insurance products and services to the State’s residents beginning Tuesday.
Homesite, which started in 1997, now operates in 24 states, reaching around 56 percent of the insurable households in the U.S. It specializes in on-line contact for homeowners, condominium owners and renters insurance through its “Apply-‘n-Buy (TM) proprietary insurance technology.” It estimates that it typically takes renters and condominium owners five minutes to complete processing of an application, and ten minutes for homeowners.
