The Professional Insurance Agents of New York announced that Albert J. Beer, president of strategic business units for American Re Corp., will keynote the Association’s Long Island “Regional Awareness Program” (RAP) luncheon to be held at Leonard’s of Great Neck on Thursday, April 18.
Beer was most recently president of domestic insurance company operations for American Re. He’s scheduled to discuss the reinsurance business for U.S.-based insurance companies. “Mr. Beer’s extensive knowledge of, and experience within, our industry makes for a storied address at RAP,” stated RAP Committee Chair Peter T. Demetriou. “We are looking forward to his keynote speech.”
PIANY’s Long Island RAP will be a full-day event that includes an expansive trade show, networking opportunities and a variety of education sessions for CE credit.
The announcement quoted Beer as stating that, “Our business environment and our operations as insurance professionals have changed significantly in recent months. It’s important we all understand what’s happening in the marketplace and how best to move forward.”
