Insurity Inc., a Hartford, Conn.-based unit of ChoicePoint®, announced a licensing agreement with Harco National Insurance Company, a provider of commercial lines products to truck and auto dealerships and trucking firms, for an upgraded commercial P&C policy administration system.
A subsidiary of IAT Reinsurance Company Ltd., Harco utilizes Insurity’s Commercial Intellisys system to process policies in 49 states for workers’ compensation, package, umbrella, surety, auto lease and rental, truckers and other coverages. The upgrade to Insurity’s newest technology is expected to greatly facilitate Harco’s business development plans in the months ahead.
Commercial Intellisys provides commercial Property and Casualty policy rating, issuance, and statistical coding for all lines of business in all 50 states. The system also provides MVRs, credit scores, telephone verification, and/or on-site surveys; logical information-ordering that allows underwriters to review initial information before requesting additional verification; and reference materials that provide information such as city-file features, NCCI manuals, NAIC codes, address verifications and SICs.
