June 4, 2003

The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. announced that Jeanne Cosentino, the personal insurance services manager of E & K Agency in Eatontown, will receive its Community Service award at the association’s annual conference, to be held at Bally’s Atlantic City, June 8-10.

“This award will be presented to Cosentino to recognize her dedication of time and efforts to improve her community through public service through the Holiday Express program,” said the announcement. “Recognizing Jeanne’s wonderful and selfless contributions to our community is a fitting tribute to good deeds done well,” stated Ken Auerbach, Esq., principal of E & K Agency.

Cosentino will be honored for her eight years of work with Holiday Express, an all-volunteer, nonprofit nonsectarian organization that delivers music, toys, clothing, food and fun to children with cancer, people living with AIDS, the mentally ill, disadvantaged families, the isolated elderly and the homeless. She has assisted in organizing holiday shows at several children’s hospitals, various AIDS centers and nursing homes. As a member of the Holiday Express Event Managers Committee, she manages at least four events a year including the show for Special Olympics New Jersey, attended by 1,800 people.

“Jeanne is an inspiration to us all,” said David Madara, CPCU, AAI, president of PIANJ. “Her civic contributions have not only brought smiles to the faces of many, but made our community a better place.”
