N.J. YIP’s Elect Charles J. Caruso as New President

The New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals elected Charles J. Caruso, CPIA, assistant VP of Herbert L. Jamison & Co. LLC in West Orange, as the association’s new president at their recent meeting, held during the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc.’s. annual business conference at Bally’s Atlantic City.

He’s been an active member of NJYIP, serving as vice president in 2002-2003, as well as holding positions on its Executive and Legislative/Industry Resources Committees. He also serves on the PIANJ’s Legislative Committee.

“As an extension of this great team, NJYIP takes its PIA role very seriously,” stated Caruso during his installation luncheon. “As the future leaders of this industry, we serve as the next generation of leaders for the association, and for your business. We are the professionals that will meet the challenges in the years to come. New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals is the association where young agency staff can perfect their business techniques and enhance their professional development. Think of us as the training ground for learning the rules of the game that will position future leaders for career success.”

He also highlighted NJYIP’s evolution into the professional development arm of PIANJ, pointing out their new logo and tagline, “Building Tomorrow’s Insurance Leaders.” Caruso’s leadership team plans to accomplish this mission through continued development of educational resources and opportunities to connect members to a broad field of industry contacts.

Active in industry affairs, Caruso is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Alliance of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He’s also a member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation Advisory Committee and serves on the Membership Committee for the Certified Professional Insurance Agents Society.
