Milliman USA announced that it has opened a new office to provide a full range of services to the property and casualty insurance and re-insurance industries. The new Milliman office will consist of the senior consultants and support staff of Am-Re Consultants Inc. in Princeton, N.J., following a decision by American Re-Insurance Company to withdraw from the consulting business.
The new Milliman unit will continue as one of the leading providers of services to the P&C insurance market, including advice on mergers & acquisitions, actuarial pricing, reserving & modeling, and operational effectiveness, emphasizing in-depth claims, underwriting and process design/improvement services.
“This strategic addition is a perfect fit for our organization, underscoring our commitment to leadership in property & casualty insurance and re-insurance,” said Patrick J. Grannan, president and CEO of Milliman USA. “We are fortunate to welcome the entire senior staff from the former Am-Re Consultants, including a core team of seasoned industry experts with a wealth of experience executing and managing projects associated with mergers and acquisitions, underwriting, claims and insurance process improvement.”
Among the senior consultants joining Milliman are William R. Azzara, Urban E. Leimkuhler, Jr. and Gail M. Ross. “Joining Milliman creates an ideal platform for growth and expansion,” commented Urban E. Leimkuhler, Jr., who formerly served as president of Am-Re Consultants Inc., “and this is great news for our existing clients. The affiliation with Milliman USA means we won’t miss a beat, and our staff’s past experience with its strong emphasis on teamwork and coordination across disciplines will enable us to blend our collective talents with those of our new Milliman colleagues.”
