The PMA Insurance Group announced that it has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania” for the third year in a row.
“Previously ranked #30, PMA improved its position and is now ranked 25th among large employers in the Keystone State,” said the announcement. The company, a regional property and casualty organization and the largest private writer of workers’ compensation in the state, was honored at an awards dinner on Wednesday night in Harrisburg by The Great Place to Work Institute, Inc.
“We are very honored to receive this recognition for three consecutive years,” stated Vincent Donnelly, PMA President and COO, who accepted the award. “We continually seek ways to enhance our workplace, as we value our employees and consider our colleagues throughout all our office locations to be our most important asset.”
The award program evaluated medium and large-sized companies through a review of employment practices, as well as an employee survey. Employee survey results accounted for 75 percent of the evaluation’s overall weight.
“PMA has a very strong culture based upon our values of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, passion and execution,” Donnelly continued. “Our culture forms the basis of our service franchise and our strong relationships with clients, brokers and agents.”
