Liberty Mutual Teams with AAA to Offer Va. Discounts

February 25, 2004

AAA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Agency Inc. and Liberty Mutual Group announced that they have entered into an affinity marketing agreement, making more than 700,000 Virginia AAA members eligible for discounts of 10 percent on homeowners insurance and 5 percent on automobile insurance. The new discounts are in addition to others offered by Liberty.

“Our organizations share a common goal: to make automobile and homeowners insurance more affordable for our members and customers,” noted Wayne Campton, General Manager for AAA Mid-Atlantic’s Southern Region. “Now, we share something else in common: this affinity program which provides savings for AAA members who have completed their first full year of membership.”

He added that the program offered a great addition to member benefits. They’ll be able to “enjoy considerable savings and will join the 12,000 members who already take advantage of our insurance products.”

The AAA Mid-Atlantic/Liberty Mutual program also offers 24-hour claims reporting, 12-month guaranteed rates, and a dedicated customer phone number with extended sales and service hours. AAA Mid-Atlantic members may also choose the convenience of premium payment through automatic checking account deduction.

“We are pleased to offer AAA Mid-Atlantic’s Virginia members a convenient way to buy auto and homeowners insurance at competitive rates, from a company they can trust,” stated Anne Herbster, Vice President and Manager, Affinity Marketing, at Liberty Mutual. “Liberty Mutual is proud to partner with an organization that shares our mission of making driving safer and insurance more affordable.”

AAA Mid-Atlantic serves over 786,000 members in central and northern Virginia and has more than 3.4 million members overall. Liberty insures more than 38,000 autos and 27,000 homes in Virginia, and has been doing business in the state since 1918. It employs approximately 300 people in 14 offices throughout the state.
