N.Y. Casualty/Surety Club Elects Zurich’s Casey

Zurich, North America reports that the board of the Casualty and Surety Club of New York has elected William J. Casey, Jr., vice president of Zurich’s Northeast region, as its new president. Casey served as the organization’s first vice president in 2003.

As president, Casey will lead initiatives to expand the growing reach of the club, which was established in 1909 to foster and solidify intra-industry partnership and dialogue in the New York metropolitan area. The Casualty and Surety Club also provides nearly a dozen scholarships to college students across the country as part of its financial aid program to promote the study and pursuit of careers in insurance and risk management.

“Bill is a highly regarded insurance executive who will no doubt make lasting contributions to the industry as president of the Casualty and Surety Club,” said Ken Sroka, CEO of Zurich’s North American Specialties unit. ”

The Casualty and Surety Club of New York, one of the nation’s oldest industry associations, has served the New York area insurance community for over 94 years.
