Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell signed the following bill into law during a day of numerous bill signings:
House Bill 2527, sponsored by Rep. David Argall (R Berks/Schuylkill), makes an appropriation from the Workmen’s Compensation Administration Fund to the Department of Labor and Industry and the Department of Community and Economic Development to provide for the expenses of administering the Workers’ Compensation Act, the Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act and the Office of Small Business Advocate for the fiscal year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.
The bill was approved in the House, 197-0, and passed the Senate, 50-0, where it was amended. It passed in the House, 198-5, on concurrence.
