Heath Insurance Brokers of Connecticut LLC, announced that Woodrow M. Baird has joined its Farmington, Conn. office as a vice president responsible for the marketing and production of commercial casualty accounts.
Previous to joining Heath, Baird held the position of area vice president/branch manager at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., in its Hartford office where he was responsible for the performance of the branch and large account production.
Prior to his time with Gallagher, he held the position of president of Gow & Hanna, Inc. of Conn. He began his insurance career in 1980 at CG/Aetna in their corporate management training program.
Heath Insurance Brokers is ranked among the top five largest specialty lines insurance brokers in the U.S. The company has 350 insurance professionals in 14 offices across the country and places nearly $1 billion in gross premium a year.
