Northeast Bank Sub Now Northeast Bank Insurance Group

Maine-based Northeast Bank announced that its subsidiary, Northeast Financial Services Inc, received approval to change its name to Northeast Bank Insurance Group Inc.

Northeast Bank Insurance Group is the insurance sales arm of the company and was established as a result of the acquisition of Kendall Insurance Agency of Bethel in 2002 and the Solon-Anson Agency of Rangeley in 2004 which included the Sargent Insurance Agencies and the Belgrade Insurance Agency. Insurance sales offices are located in Northeast Bank branches in Augusta, Bethel and South Paris. Additional insurance offices are located in Anson, Auburn, Mexico, and Rangeley.

“Now that we are affiliated with Northeast Bank, changing our name gives us an opportunity to better reflect the full breadth of products and services that are available to our customers,” said Craig Sargent, president and manager of the Bank’s Insurance subsidiary. “Deciding on a name that carried the Northeast brand, but was exclusive to insurance sales was important in order for all of our customers to see that the company offers a full spectrum of insurance products through the newly named Northeast Bank Insurance Group,” added Jim Delamater, president and CEO of Northeast Bank.
