The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. has named Daniel J. Leonelli, regional vice president for commercial lines for the company’s Connecticut and Rhode Island territory. Leonelli will work out of the The Hanover’s Glastonbury, Connecticut office, reporting directly to Michael Christiansen, regional president.
Leonelli joins The Hanover from Peerless Insurance where he was, most recently, regional vice president for the company’s Southern New England region. In this position, Leonelli was responsible for all commercial lines, personal lines and marketing activities for the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Prior to this, Leonelli, who worked at Peerless since 1992, served in a variety of senior level positions in the company’s Syracuse, New York office. As assistant vice president for personal lines from 2002 to 2005, Leonelli led a team that was responsible for all underwriting and processing for the states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
