Erie Insurance Group recently announced the appointment of Jeffrey D. Stempora as senior vice president, division officer and chief information officer, effective August 21, 2006. In his new position Stempora will be responsible for guiding the company’s information technology strategy and execution.
Prior to accepting his new position with Erie Insurance, Stempora was associated with Citigroup in Warren, New Jersey, where he served as executive vice president, chief strategist, chief information officer and global head of strategy and strategic initiatives for technology infrastructure. He also has insurance industry experience, having served in several positions with State Farm Insurance, including head of business technology and chief information security and privacy officer. Prior to his work with State Farm, he held the position of acting chief technology officer for CNA Financial Services.
