The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) has appointed Paul Magaril as regional manager and counsel of its New York office in Albany. Magaril will assist PCI members and handle state legislative and regulatory issues affecting the property/casualty insurance industry in the state.
Before joining PCI, Magaril spent seven years as legislative counsel for the New York State Insurance Fund. In that capacity he represented the state’s largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance and the governor on all relevant legislative and administrative issues pending before the Legislature and other administrative agencies. Magaril also served as director of government relations for the Manufacturers’ Association of Central New York and as vice president, government affairs/legislative counsel for the New York Chamber of Commerce/New York City Partnership.
